If it wasn't Giratina, it would be some other mon that everyone is complaining about being too overpowered. My personal favorite is Scizor because the night slash chance for attack boost makes it pretty darn strong till it faces a hard counter.Īs for your thoughts on the OP's point, while Giratina is a thorn in people's side, it is an inevitable eventuality of the CP/DPE/DPT system that makes PVP.

If you know you're going to see one, you can easily build a team with a counter, plus a counter for the ever common steel/fairy Giratina counters, and you'll be left with a power house spot for whatever you want 3rd.Ĭlefable/Granbull/Togekiss are pretty easy to get for pvp, and you can always pull a steel/dark/normal type instead. There's usually an underlying reason why some Pokemon function the way they do or fear the things that threaten it. It also hates ground and fire moves so even the likes of Heatran, Excadrill, and EQ on Snorlax threaten it substantially. Altaria just hates ice in general, not so much needing an ice mon specifically. Volt Switch is one of the highest energy generating "slow" fast moves fueling a low cost Thunder Punch to compete against Bubble. Like Azu you want to compete against it by either shredding it with fast moves or out pace it in charge moves. Its more so move choice than most things. I've taken out Azu and Altaria with different mons tbh.
